My name is Melissa. I am a JFK based FA for Envoy/American Eagle Airlines. I have worked in the aviation industry for over 6 years and I love every minute of it. I have worn many hats in my careers including, Dry cleaner, fast food, bakery, management and corporate finance. I started my aviation career at Compass Airline in late 2008 (yes I know it says airline and not airlines, they are adamant that they are ONE airline and not multiple, so they refuse to be considered "airlines"). I was working solely on the EMB 175 which is a beautiful aircraft with 2 galleys, 2 lavatories, 4 cabin jump-seats (2 working FAs) and 76 pax seats!!!! It was a dream... but alas, that company was not meant to be for me! I left there in Jan 2011 and came to Eagle in June. I am a base hopper, I started in JFK, I spent 4 months there. I then went to ORD for 3 months before taking a voluntary furlough. That lasted 4 months and I came back to ORD for an additional 5 months. I then txfrd back to JFK for 4 months, went to MIA for 4 months, back to ORD for 4 months and now I have been in JFK since July 2013!!! I love this base!!! The people, the airports, the agents, the pax... If I could, I would take it and all of you down to MIA with me and we could all live happily on the beach and work CRJ trips... a girl can dream!!! I initially made this SABRE guide for Yvette Caccamo when she begin working here. Due to some personal reasons of my own I chose not to release it... UNTIL NOW!!! I hope you enjoy it and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at [email protected] (please make sure the subject of your email says "SABRE GUIDE" or I will NOT open it!!!)
